Update

8 months old and couldnt be any cuter or happier. Last month they decided to start sleeping through the night, so generous. They typically sleep 730-730. Hallelujah. They each have their own little accomplishment, can't leave anyone out. Charlee girl is the first to crawl! She does it so well on her hands and knees and everything. She's been crawling/scooting backwards for a few weeks now, both have actually and as of last Saturday the 7th of July she figured out the forward motion. Despite all my attempts to discourage mobility. I was hoping to move first! Baby proofing and packing are not a great mix. But it makes me so happy to see their progression. And she couldn't be any prouder of her sweet self. AND Bear gets to be the first to sport a tooth. I'm pleasantly surprised that he hasn't even been that cranky. He is handling those sharp lil suckers like a champ! They are so funny. We wake up and immediately after we are fed we go on a walk. It has been ONE HOT SUMMER so the sooner we get to it the better. They usually don't make a peep or hardly move, it's hilarious. They just take it all in. They love when we get out to play in the grass and on the swings. Being winter babies it took us a while to get used to outside. Bear says babababa and mamamama and on the extremely rare occasion dadada. And Sucks in to laugh. His cousin jax says its not a normal noise for a baby to make, aunt Cam says he sounds like the grudge. Either way it is adorable and music to mommys ears:)
Charlee Loves soft Blankies and rocking and sounds like a car alarm when she's mad. We call her the charlarm. She does this adorable head tilt ALWAYS accompanied by Her heart melting smile. She doesn't know how to be adorable at all;)  She's learning to mimic sounds and hold her own bottle. They are addicted to baby mums, they are rice crackers that dissolve quickly, I wonder what they put in those things but I am very grateful for them. That is the only way we get through church. We just shove food in their mouths and they behave. Or they are content to sit on the floor and play with toys and each other. Coveted toys at our house include: empty milk container, red solo cup, wipes container, empty wrappers, lotion tubes, laundry, tupper ware, moms necklace, moms hair....the list goes on. But of course all you moms know, the best toy in the room is the one in your siblings hand. I love watching them play and interact and laugh at each other. Every time they reach for each other, or smile at each other it just kills me! Love you sweet babies!!

Paleo livin

I have been asked by several different people about eating paleo. It is a lifestyle, not a diet. That being said, we do not eat 100% paleo 100% of the time it's more of a 70/30 split. You've got to live people!  And we don't do it to lose weight, just to stay fit and feel good. I wanted to share our favorite recipe as of late. ***WARNING*** I am not a cook. I think the longer I pretend the better I will get. Anyway, good luck following my instructions:) I found a recipe on Pinterest and had to make a few adjustments...mostly because we aren't too fond of goat cheese.... And because Stephen comes from an Italian family and great grandma, straight from Italy, put hard boiled eggs and pepperoni on her lasagna and so we do too.

Ingredients

3-4 zucchini
3-4 hard boiled eggs
1 bag pepperoni
Parmesan cheese

Meat sauce

1 lb ground extra lean turkey or hamburger
1 medium onion, diced
1 can diced tomatoes (15oz)
4 TB tomato paste
4 TB minced garlic (give or take)
3 TB Italian seasoning
1 TB garlic salt/powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

White sauce

2 c Greek yogurt
1 egg
1/2 c Parmesan cheese

Brown your meat. Strain it (if it needs it) and add onion. Lower heat and add paste, diced tomato and all seasonings. Set aside and mix the yogurt egg and cheese. Now slice up your zucchini and spray your pan! Lay a layer of zucchini then meat sauce then hard boiled eggs. (Don't mind mine, they are a tad over cooked!) then white sauce another layer zucchini red sauce pepperoni and if you get a wild hair, some cheese on top (had some in the fridge, but when I don't we really don't miss it) bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes. A lot of water cooks out of the zucchini so you'll need to drain it after it cooks. Good luck!

It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life for me. And I'm feelin GOOD.

This is really happening. We put our house up for sale this week!! WHAT? Tell me about it. We are crazy. I mean Stephen is crazy. When he first started talking about it last fall I told him NO WAY he was out of his mind. But last week when he approached me....well some things had changed. The real estate market over here is going NUTS. And it's going to crash hard again, I can feel it. So why not take advantage? We got a steal on this house when the market had bottomed out last time in January 2011. So we will be able to make a nice chunk of change to invest into a business opportunity. My Husband is amazing, and did I mention crazy? :) his mind is always working and thinking of things he can do for investments and money and savings. Im excited to see where this crazy ride will take us. I love answers to prayers that are vague. Like I said, my first answer to this was a HARD PASS. But this time I allowed the idea to sink in deep enough to need to pray about it and the answer was "be open to it" I felt like I had just shook a magic 8 ball. Be open? So do it or don't do it? Bottom line, I trust my sweetheart and this is something he really wants to do and so HERE. WE. GO. I will be sad to say goodbye, this is a great house!

Swingers

I have the best job in the whole world. On our walk today we got a wild hair to try the swings for the first time and I experienced death by adorableness. See for yourself.
