Closer to two

Holy cow. In just 2 weeks we will hit the "20 month" mark. Almost 2? When did that happen! They hardly look like babies anymore these days. Except for the fact they have hardly any hair still. Which I'm ok with. Poor Charlee has feathers for hair and they are just the wildest little suckers! totally white blonde and crazy hairs. Bears golden red locks are turning toe head too. Hes almost looking bald, because its growing out blonde but the ends are still reddish. Everywhere we go someone comments on his beautiful hair color. And boy does he have the personality to match it! Little man doesn't know how to walk. He has two speeds. Run, and run faster once he realizes you want him to stop. Within a couple days he had fallen into a pool and a pond fully clothed (the pool had a cover on but we still got drenched) all because he looked back and saw me reaching for him saying "no bear bear stop!" He flashed that dang mischievous smile and then dove head first. Of course he wasn't happy afterwards, but as you can probably imagine he has not learned his lesson. Therefore when we go ANYWHERE where water could possibly be present he gets to wear his life jacket. Yep, fully clothed with an awesome life jacket. It even has a convenient handle on the back for me to hold on to. Charlee is more cautious so I don't worry about her AS much but she gets to wear the life jacket too for good measure. This age is so difficult, its hard to teach them! And to have it sink in. They are like little puppies. Or duckies. Especially when you have the snacks in your hand, you are the favorite and they crowd you until you give them every last bite! They make me so happy and so crazy all in one day. I feel like teething is never ending. These stinkin molars need to hurry up and move in so we can move on! Those suckers are mean. And make me a mean mom when it comes to brushing teeth. I love that we have such a set routine and that they are catching on to it. They understand bedtime and all the steps we have to take to get ready for bed. After we brush teeth and say "moms turn" or "dads turn" they know its time for prayers and will fold their arms. I love watching them catch on to little things like that. Charlee is great at signing! She knows "more" "sit" "please" "milk" and "all done" but learning more everyday. They love to say "oh wow" and really emphasize it. They are also really good at waving hello or goodbye and blowing kisses. Charlees is "oooouah" and bears is "maaah" and its the sweetest sound. Today my mom and dad spoke in church and they just kept waving ferociously at them and blowing them kisses so loudly in the middle of their talks. Cutest dang thing. And pointing. B wanted to go up there so bad. Its pretty sweet how much they love their grandparents. My other favorite things they say are: sit, oh wow, hiiiii, please (peeease), shoes, uh ohy and Charlee says "guys, hey guys!" ! They have also been working on animal sounds. Charlee wants me to read "brown bear brown bear" every other minute. Luckily I have it memorized because she likes to hold it and turn the pages. They are total outside babes. We like to go for a run with the jogging stroller to the park as often as possible, and also the splash pad is their favorite. But really, they are easy to please. Tonight we put them on the patio with a pot of water and some cups and they had hours of entertainment and were well hydrated! Charlee kept dumping cup after cup full of water on bears head then they would laugh so hard! We have been able to do so many fun things this summer. Aunties and cousins came to visit and we just love daddys schedule of working mornings and nights so we can go play during the day! Swimming at grammys and the neighbors house have been lots of fun. Being a mom is the best, but even greater in the summer time! Love you Bear and Charlee! Our last few months in pictures....
