Murray party of 4 in the Bahamas!

The day before we left was crazy trying to make sure we had everything we needed packed and printed off plus make sure the house was in perfect condition for open houses & showings while we were away. We got up nice and early for the airport and already the kids were really excited about going on a plane ride! As soon as we sat down Charlee immediately started reading the safety pamphlet haha just like her dad! Safety first. I was amazed how well the kids both did on our flights. We were just a tad nervous about keeping them entertained for the 9 hours of travel that were ahead but they were champs. As soon as we got to the hotel that night I started laying everything out for the next morning when we would board the ship and I went in to pure panic! NO BIRTH CERTIFICATES. Howwwww did I seem to overlook this very important document needed for my children to get on that boat?? Oh you guys, the tears started FLOWING hard and I couldn't breathe thinking about having to tell those sweet kids that actually we couldn't go on this cool trip we had been talking about for weeks. Hormones and exhausted after traveling all day didn't help. Stephen tried to assure me there wasnt anything we could do right then since it was late, but that we would try to figure something out in the morning. I couldn't sleep. And it may seem like a silly thing to pray for, but we got on our knees and pleaded to be able to find some way to get those kids on that boat. In the morning we called his brother who lives close by to have him go to our house and try to locate the birth certificates then scan and email them over so we could print off a copy at the hotel. He seriously saved the day!!! I dont know what we would have done without him! I also don’t think I have ever felt so relieved and grateful for answered prayers! The tears came again (tears of joy, this time for both of us) watching our kids run onto the ship. Its such an amazing feeling being able to do these things for our kids and have this experience as a family. Our last Hoorah as a family of 4! Everything on the ship was amazing. Our first stop was to the soft serve ice cream stand, and right after that the pool & hot tubs. After that we got settled into our room and off to dinner. I just love this picture of my sweet girl and her strong daddy. We spent the next day at sea enjoying all the fun things we could do on the ship. The kids really enjoyed getting their faces painted and playing at camp ocean while Mom & Dad got in a good workout. And of course after that, more ice cream. More swimming. More exploring and then their very first time mini golfing! Bear caught on quick, learning the techniques from daddy. Charlee could care less about doing it the right way and preferred to treat it more like hockey guiding her ball into the hole and hitting it as hard as she could haha and my goodness the celebrations were excellent when that ball went in the hole! This was so much fun. And then….you guessed it….more ice cream :) Happy Valentines Day! We spent our day of Love in the Bahamas at Atlantis. I was definitely MOST excited to take the kids to this INCREDIBLE aquarium and experience the fun water park with them. And it did not disappoint!!! Watching their faces was such a parenting payday. They were completely mesmerized by all the pretty fish and different creatures they saw. Their favorites were sting rays and sea horses but they also loved the sharks! Even though they were super scary. The slides were a huge hit and we relaxed for hours in the endless lazy river complete with rapids and a wave section. One of my all time favorite places to visit, made better by having my family there! I made them go down to the beach and stick our feet in the water but we all seem to prefer the pool. It was such a beautiful day. Last stop on our Bahama adventure was Freeport. It was insanely windy that day which made for a not-so-relaxing day at the beach. Sand flew in our eyes, the kids were cold wet & covered in sand---but we still managed to have a good time playing in the water and exploring the island a little bit. We really enjoyed walking around the shops that were all different bright colors! We ended up back on the ship early to slip into the hot tub and escape the wind. They had Trolls playing on the pool deck and the kids were mesmerized! After the movie and way too many ice cream cones they got to go to a little farewell party at camp ocean. They had so much fun! Mom & Dad enjoyed a quiet dinner & a great comedy show. They loved every part of their "field trip" on the "big boat" and it really was the best family vacay! They got to sleep in bunk beds (very exciting stuff) and ride in elevators, see cool shows eat great food & all the ice cream (I think I tried to limit it to 5 per day haha) plus they got to play at camp ocean and do fun activities so we felt like we still got a vacation too - we got to eat together and lay by the pool in peace plus even spend a little time at the gym. It was a bit tragic when bear lost his stuffed puppy and it was never found. We told him he just loved the ocean so much he wanted to stay forever! A trip we will always remember. I'm so glad we were able to create these memories. And the fun didn't stop there! Next stop: DISNEY WORLD!
